Project |01 "College Girl in a Foodie World" Food Blog

What began as a fun way to fill time during my first summer home from college has developed into a concrete way to exercise my writing muscles and express my passion for all things food and restaurants. On my blog, I review restaurants, explain recipes, and more, all from the perspective of a college foodie.
Project |02 Food Network Magazine Intetrnship Writing Sample

In the summer of 2014, I had an advertising sales internship at Food Network Magazine (FNM) in Chicago. My favorite projects that I was assigned were the ones that involved the most writing. This particular sample was especially fun to compile. Each month, the FNM sales team puts together a list of the trendiest restaurants in the Chicago area to potentially entertain clients. I loved "researching" the hottest restaurants in Chicago for the July Dining Guide.
Project |03 Minor in Writing Blog

Each week, the professor for my writing minor gateway course assigns a blog prompt to respond to. Once we respond to that prompt, we comment on our peers' posts. Initially, I found it intimidating to publish my thoughts alongside some of my peers who are excellent writers. Progressively, however, I've grown to appeciate the blog as a valuable writing outlet as well as a great forum for peer feedback.
