Remediation

Our final assignment for the semester was to transform our repurposing project yet again. We had to maintain our same audience and same argument as in the repurposing project, but create the project through a completely different medium. My Tumblr uses images, videos, newspaper articles, podcasts, and even an infographic as elements of digital rhetoric to add to my argument about hummus.

When I began the transformation process of my food blog post, I never thought projects about hummus could be taken seriously. Having to consider my audience, argument, and medium through every step of the process helped to develop me develop real reasons why something as simple as hummus deserves to be looked at through so many different writing lenses.

Addmittedly, projects involving technology usually present some challenges for me. Still, I can safely say I enjoyed finding solutions to little problems that arose as I composed my Tumblr. All of the playing around with infographic templates, sound issues, and design complications was worth it in the end because I'm quite proud of the way my project ended up coming together. Click on the image at right to see the final version of my project, and the links below to see the project's development.
