Sarah Schuman

I was born and raised just outside of Chicago. I love the city's energy, amazing range of diverse foods, and the fact that all of my extended family lives within ten minutes of me.

Winter semester 2015, I studied abroad in Prague, Czech Republic. It was simultaneously the scariest and most exhilarating time of my life. While there, I visited ten other countries. I will never forget watching the sunset over Santorini, au-pairing in Paris, or having a Passover seder with my family in London.

I am graduating from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in April 2016 with a major in communication studies and a minor in writing. Throughout my time here, I've served as a mentor and resource for undergraduate communication studies students.

Upon graduating, I will be pursuing a career in digital media through a position at Spark SMG in Chicago. Before I start, though, I'm fulfilling my travel bug once more through a short trip to Austin with my mom.
